SUMS will hold their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 20th April, 2011 at 8:00pm in Bosch Lecture Theatre 4.
The purpose of the AGM is:
- to receive an audited report and statement of accounts for the preceding financial period
- to fill any vacancies on the committee
- to transact any other business

It's that time of year again... election time! Our annual EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) is coming up!
Date: Wednesday 27 October
Time: 8:15pm
Location: Bosch Lecture Theatre 4
The purposes of the EGM are:
i) to receive the President’s and Secretary’s reports for the current year.
ii) to elect the following year’s committee.
iii) to transact any other business.
You should all have recieved an email with an attached agenda and nomination form and I would encourage everyone to consider running for committee. It can be very rewarding working behind the scenes organising concerts and just seeing how a society works! It's also a great way to get experience that will prove very valuable when you get into the competitive world of job-hunting! If you are interested in running or nominating someone, please read the agenda and notes on nominations carefully, and you should also consider looking up the society constitution at http://www.sums.org.au/files/sums_constitution_08.pdf.
The minutes of the 2010 AGM have also been attached to the email for your information, there will be a motion to accept them at the EGM. You may also notice that there are amendments on notice in the agenda, further details of these will be available soon, at least a week before the EGM for consideration as required.
